Sanjay Khan’s wife, Zarine Khan, breathed her last on November 7 at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments. Her death has left her family members and close friends devastated. She was recently remembered at a heartfelt prayer meet held in Mumbai. Her daughter, Farah Khan Ali, shared an emotional video in which Sussanne Khan is seen weeping bitterly, while Hrithik Roshan remembers his former mother-in-law.

Sussanne Khan cries inconsolably

In the video, several priests from different religions were seen praying for Zarine. Her daughter Sussanne was seen weeping bitterly as she sat with her brother Zayed Khan, remembering her mother. A projector showed photos of Zarine with her family members. All her family members, including her grandchildren, praised Zarine in their brief speeches.

Hrithik Roshan, Fardeen Khan remember Zarine Khan

Sanjay Khan, the actor-director and husband of the late actress Zarine Khan, recalled the “intelligent” answer given by the actress when he proposed to her for marriage. “I met her when I was 18, she was 14. I looked into her eyes and I was like, khuda ko dekh raha hoon (watching a god). I asked her, ‘Will you marry me?’ She looked at me with a smile and said, ‘If I feel the same about you the way I do now, then I will say yes after one year.’ So I said, even without her beauty, she is also an intelligent woman who would make a good wife,” said Sanjay Khan.

Farah Khan Ali pays tribute to Zarine Khan

Sharing the video, Farah Khan Ali wrote a deeply personal message on Instagram, honouring her late mother. “Zarine Sanjay Khan to the world, but to me and my siblings, simply our mother. She was my world… until I witnessed the overwhelming turnout of people who came forward to pay their last respects,” she began.

Farah expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and reflected on her mother’s compassionate nature. “To her, all were equal, and all equally important. She shaped me and my siblings in her image. She loved generously and gave without flinching. We will carry her legacy forward.”
