Head coach Gautam Gambhir will host Team India players for dinner at his residence ahead of their second Test match against the West Indies, according to the sources.

The second Test match between Team India and visitors West Indies is scheduled will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi from Friday.

The sources quotes above also said that the head coach wants to organise the dinner in an open-air one in the garden area, but if rain hits the city, it would be cancelled.

In the first Test match against the Caribbean, India emerged victorious by an innings and 140 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Ravindra Jadeja was named the “Player of the Match” for his crucial contributions.

The left-hander played an unbeaten knock of 104 runs off 176 deliveries, which was laced with six boundaries and five maximums. Later, he also claimed four wickets by conceding 54 runs in 13 overs.

The two-time ICC World Test Championship (WTC) finalists are third in the WTC table with three wins, a draw, and two losses.

After the conclusion of the West Indies series, the “Men in Blue” will lock horns against Australia for three ODIs and five T20I matches.

The first ODI will be played in Perth on October 19, while the second and third matches will be held on October 23 (Adelaide) and October 25 (Sydney), respectively.

After that, the five matches of the T20I series will be played on October 29 (Canberra), October 31 (Melbourne), November 2 (Hobart), November 6 (Gold Coast) and November 8 (Brisbane).
