In recent years, India has seen the rise of two exceptional off-spinners, R Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh, who together have amassed an impressive 1,476 international wickets. Yet, Harbhajan expresses concern that the off-spin craft is losing its allure. He states, “People often underestimate the complexity of bowling off-spin, thinking it’s an easy skill. In reality, it’s a refined art that requires immense dedication and practice. If it were that simple, we would have countless off-spinners today. Unfortunately, interest in this discipline seems to be dwindling.”
