In the ODI Women`s World Cup 2025 match against Bangladesh, England came victorious by four wickets at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati.

Having put to chase a target of 179 runs, England scored 182 runs for the loss of six wickets in 46.1 overs.

Opening batswoman, Amy Jones, was not able to score many runs as she departed after scoring just one run in three balls. Fellow opener, Tamsin Beaumont, accumulated 13 runs off 17 deliveries, including two boundaries.

Coming to bat at number three, Heather Knight delivered an unbeaten knock of 79 runs in 111 balls, including eight boundaries and a maximum.

Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt, too, scored 32 runs off 41 balls, with the help of five boundaries. Alice Capsey accumulated 20 runs in 34 balls, including three boundaries.

Sophia Dunkley returned to the pavilion after registering a duck in three balls. Emma Lamb was also dismissed for one run in 12 balls.

Along with Knight, Charlie Dean registered an unbeaten score of 27 runs in 56 balls. Her knock included two boundaries.

Bangladesh`s Fahima Khatun showcased immense skills with the ball. Completing 10 overs, Fahima bagged three wickets for 16 runs. Marufa Akter also managed to claim two wickets by conceding 28 runs in five overs. Sanjida Akter Meghla bowled seven overs and gave away 24 runs for a wicket.

Nahida Akter, Rabeya Khatun, Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, and Sobhana Mostary went wicketless in the ODI Women`s World Cup 2025 match against England.

Nahida, in her spell of eight overs, was smashed for 34 runs. Rabeya, too, conceded 39 runs in seven overs. Shorna leaked 33 runs in seven overs, whereas Ritu gave away three runs in two overs.

The game ended when Sobhana was smashed for four runs on the very first ball of her first over.

Earlier, Sobhana Mostary (60) and Rabeya Khatun`s (unbeaten 43 runs) knocks helped Bangladesh reach the score of 178 runs. England`s Sophie Ecclestone made crucial contributions by claiming three wickets.

Linsey Smith, Charlie Dean, and Alice Capsey registered two wickets each to their names. Lauran Bell, too, managed to pick one wicket.
