This decision follows a risk assessment report that evaluated the country’s security concerns and determined the threat level to be ‘low.’ Sources within the ICC indicated that the report does not identify any specific or immediate risks to the Bangladesh team as they prepare for the tournament, which kicks off on February 7. This assessment contradicts statements by Bangladesh sports ministry advisor Asif Nazrul, who suggested that the presence of player Mustafizur Rahman might heighten the threat level. Bangladesh is scheduled to participate in four league stage matches during the tournament.
