In the ODI Women`s World Cup 2025 match against the arch-rivals, Pakistan, Team India secured a dominating win by 88 runs at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

In an attempt to chase a target of 248 runs, Pakistan was bowled out for 159 runs in 43 overs.

Having needed to chase a target of 248 runs against the “Women in Blue”, Pakistan`s opening duo, Muneeba Ali and Sadaf Shams, departed early. Facing 12 balls, Muneeba was able to score just two runs, whereas Sadaf managed to score just six runs in 24 balls.

Coming to bat at number three, Sidra Ameen played a knock of 81 runs off 106 balls. During her knock, she smashed nine boundaries and a maximum.

Aliya Riaz returned to the pavilion after scoring just two runs in eight balls. Natalia Pervaiz accumulated 33 runs in 46 balls, including four boundaries.

Skipper Fatima Sana scored just two runs after facing 15 balls. Wicketkeeper-batswoman, Sidra Nawaz, registered a score of 14 runs in 22 balls, with the help of a boundary.

Rameen Shamim departed on the one-ball duck. Diana Baig lost her wicket in a runout. Her knock ended with nine runs off 13 balls, including a boundary.

Sadia Iqbal, too, returned to the pavilion on a two-ball duck. Nashra Sandhu stayed unbeaten on two runs in nine balls.

Kranti Goud and Deepti Sharma were the most successful bowlers for India. Completing her quota of 10 overs, Goud conceded 20 runs and claimed three wickets. On the other hand, Deepti, too, claimed three wickets for 45 runs in nine overs.

Sneh Rana bowled eight overs and gave away 38 runs for two wickets.

Renuka Singh and Nallapureddy Charani went wicketless in the ODI Women`s World Cup 2025 match against Pakistan. Renuka leaked 29 runs in 10 overs, whereas Charani was smashed for 26 runs in six overs.

Earlier, in the match, Harleen Deol played a knock of 46 runs off 65 balls. She also smashed four boundaries and a maximum. Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh also registered scores of 32 and an unbeaten 35 runs, respectively. With this, Team India had posted a total of 247 runs.

Pakistan`s Diana Baig bowled 10 overs and bagged four wickets for 69 runs.
