In the third ODI match against Australia, Team India came victorious by nine wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Having put to chase a target of 237 runs, the “Men in Blue” successfully chased it by scoring 237 runs by losing just one wicket in 38.3 overs.

Opening the innings for India, skipper Shubman Gill departed on 24 runs after facing 26 balls. He also smashed two boundaries and a maximum.

Fellow opening batsman, Rohit Sharma, played an unbeaten knock of 121 runs off 125 balls, including 13 boundaries and three maximums. Along with him, stalwart Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 74 runs in 81 deliveries, which was laced with seven boundaries.

Rohit`s ton came on the back of a half-century, which he scored in the previous ODI match at the Adelaide Oval. But the story wasn`t the same for Kohli, as he departed on two consecutive ducks in the previous outings.

Pacer Josh Hazlewood was the only Australian bowler who managed to pick one wicket. Bowling six overs, he conceded 23 runs. Mitchell Starc gave away 31 runs in five overs, whereas Adam Zampa was smashed for 50 runs in his spell of 10 overs. Matt Short, too, leaked 29 runs in four overs, and Mitchell Owen bowled just one over in which he conceded two runs.

Cooper Connolly bowled five overs and was smashed for 36 runs, and on the other hand, Nathan Ellis leaked 60 runs in 7.3 overs.

Earlier, Australia was bowled out for 236 runs in 46.4 overs.

Team India`s Harshit Rana showcased his immense skills with the ball to help his side dominate over the Aussies. Bowling 8.4 overs, the pacer claimed four wickets by conceding 39 runs.

Opening the innings, Marsh delivered a strong start as he scored 41 runs in 50 balls, including five boundaries and a maximum. Fellow opening batsman, Travis Head, accumulated 29 runs off 25 balls, with the help of six boundaries.

Matt Short registered a score of 30 runs in 41 balls, which included two boundaries. Later, facing 58 balls, Matt Renshaw smashed 56 runs, which was laced with two boundaries.

Along with Rana, Washington Sundar also bowled a good spell. He bagged two wickets by conceding 44 runs in 10 overs. Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel registered one wicket each to their names.
