West Indies batter Brandon King had a `brainfade` moment during Day 1 of the first Test against India in Ahmedabad. The right-hander just shouldered arms to a delivery from pacer Mohammed Siraj and saw his middle stump being rattled on the ground. He was the third wicket to fall on the first morning of the Test match.

It was an inswinging delivery from Siraj that pitched and jagged back vigorously. However, instead of covering the line of the ball, King decided to shoulder arms, and such a poor piece of judgment saw Siraj breach his defense with ease. King`s reaction after his dismissal pretty much summed up just how surprising a leave it was from him.

Here`s the video of Brandon King`s dismissal by Mohammed Siraj:

Speaking about the game, India are on absolute fire at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad despite losing the toss. West Indies skipper Roston Chase had no hesitation in opting to bat first and was confident of his players seeing off the initial new ball burst from the Indians. However, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah have been just too good for them in the opening hour.

It all started with opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul getting strangled down the leg side from a delivery from Siraj. Jasprit Bumrah also built up great pressure from the other end and got the wicket of the other opener, John Campbell, through a brilliant piece of review from Shubman Gill. The umpire felt that the bat had hit just the pad, but it was later revealed that there was a clear deflection as the ball passed the bat too.

Siraj then cleaned up Brandon King and later also lured Alick Athanaze into a loose drive, and the latter was comfortably caught in the slips by KL Rahul. The Hyderabad speedster continued his good form from the England series and has put India right on top in the opening hour of the first Test. The Windies will need to string up a partnership as Shubman Gill and co. will look to tighten the screws further and try to bowl them out on Day 1 itself.
