The buzz around Sajid Nadiadwala’s O’Romeo is palpable, as it emerges as one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by the acclaimed Vishal Bhardwaj, this movie draws inspiration from real-life events and boasts a stellar cast, including Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, and Farida Jalal.

Avinash Tiwary’s portrayal of Jalal is nothing short of chilling, marked by powerful dialogue delivery and an intense demeanor that promises to captivate audiences in this action-packed romantic drama.

In his first collaboration with Vishal Bhardwaj, Tiwary shared an unexpected piece of advice he received from the director. He stated, “The most surprising advice was to ‘make it extreme.’ This approach influenced everything from Jalal’s appearance to the character’s decision-making. I didn’t anticipate that level of intensity in the direction.”

Moreover, Tiwary has taken on the challenge of learning Flamenco, a Spanish folk dance, for a critical scene in O’Romeo, with choreography by the renowned Kunal Om. His debut performance of this expressive dance form in a Bollywood film is sure to be a highlight.

Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia’s Generosity

O’Romeo comes with a hefty budget ranging from Rs 75-80 crore, needing to cross the Rs 100 crore threshold at the box office to be deemed successful. This film stands as one of the most ambitious projects in Shahid Kapoor’s career, as it showcases Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial prowess. With OTT and satellite rights already secured, the film is entering theaters with significant pre-release earnings.

Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that Vikrant Massey committed to O’Romeo years ago, long before his rise to stardom with 12th Fail. True to his word, Massey agreed to reprise his role without any compensation. Additionally, Tamannaah Bhatia also decided to participate without charging a fee, despite her role being pivotal in revealing a significant plot twist. She readily accepted the offer and dedicated nearly 12 extra days to filming beyond the initial schedule.

Sajid Nadiadwala presents O’Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, set to hit theaters on February 13, 2026.
