Actress Daisy Shah has candidly shared her thoughts on the challenges of the industry, marriage, and motherhood. Recently, she disclosed her decision to freeze her eggs, emphasizing that she believes marriage is not a prerequisite for starting a family. At 41, Daisy values her independence and seeks a partner who is financially stable.
In an interview with Filmygyan, she stated, “I have no alternate views on marriage. I’ve left everything in God’s hands. You don’t need to be married to have a family,” adding, “I’ve frozen my eggs, allowing me to become a mother whenever I choose. I can have my own child.”
When asked to choose between love and money, the actress expressed her desire for both, highlighting the importance of a financially independent partner.
Daisy also reflected on how recent troubling news about relationships has shaped her outlook on marriage. “Every day, there’s something alarming—couples splitting or shocking incidents making headlines. It’s quite unsettling,” she commented.
This isn’t the first time Daisy has openly discussed her choice to freeze her eggs. In a previous interview with Hauterrfly, she mentioned that while motherhood isn’t on her immediate agenda, she took this step following a friend’s advice, similar to Priyanka Chopra’s experience.
Currently, Daisy is working on a film directed by Palaash Muchhal, who recently made headlines for his wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, which was ultimately called off. This project marks Palaash’s next directorial endeavor after films like Ardh and Kaam Chalu Hai, featuring notable actors such as Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik.
Set in Mumbai, the film will reportedly showcase Shreyas in the role of an everyday individual. However, specific details about the plot, supporting cast, and release date remain under wraps.
Reflecting on her career, Daisy started as a background dancer before rising to prominence in Salman Khan’s films like Jai Ho and Race 3. Despite her early success, she has faced challenges at the box office and has been navigating her professional journey. Previously, she participated in the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
