Bollywood star Huma Qureshi recently shared her ultimate beauty secret, and it’s surprisingly simple: laughter. Huma is gearing up for her upcoming film, “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups,” alongside Yash. The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has been shot in both Kannada and English, with plans for dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and more.
Set against the backdrop of 1980s Goa, “Toxic” dives into a gripping narrative of crime and deception, showcasing how a powerful drug cartel weaves its influence amid the region’s beautiful beaches and vibrant culture.
The film boasts a stellar technical crew, including National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, and editing by Ujwal Kulkarni. The action sequences, choreographed on an epic scale, feature renowned Hollywood action director JJ Perry (known for “John Wick”) alongside National Award-winning teams Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by Venkat K under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups” is set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, coinciding with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa.
In addition to this project, Huma has also appeared in “Maharani 4” and the third season of “Delhi Crime.” The former is directed by Puneet Prakash and produced by Kangra Talkies Pvt. Ltd., featuring talents like Shweta Basu Prasad and Amit Sial. Meanwhile, in “Delhi Crime,” Huma stars alongside notable actors such as Shefali Shah and Rasika Dugal, under the direction of Tanuj Chopra.
