In light of the intensifying US-Iran tensions, actor and self-styled film critic Kamaal R Khan has issued a chilling report from Dubai. He revealed that his family was unable to find rest throughout the night due to the alarming sounds of missiles and drones.
On March 1, Kamaal R Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his distress, stating, “My family didn’t sleep all night because of the blast sounds of missiles and drones in Dubai. It’s a very dangerous situation for all the residents in the city.”
For those unfamiliar, KRK has been vocal about the escalating unrest in the Gulf region on social media. His latest update about his family comes amidst coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel targeting Iran, which have prompted Iran to respond with missile and drone attacks across the Middle East.
These alarming developments have resulted in heightened security measures and disruptions throughout the Gulf.
In a tragic turn, Iranian state media has confirmed that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several family members, including his daughter, grandchild, and son-in-law, were killed in the US-Israel airstrikes. Former President Donald Trump also publicly announced the death of Khamenei, describing it as the “single greatest chance” for Iranians to reclaim their country.
The ongoing conflict has also had a significant impact on air travel. Numerous international airlines have either suspended or rerouted their flights, as flight-tracking maps show a notable absence of air traffic over Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel, and Bahrain.
Operations at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport in the UAE have been halted until further notice due to security concerns, resulting in over 280 flight cancellations and more than 250 delays within hours of the shutdown.
