In the wake of the phenomenal success of Dhurandhar, rising star Sara Arjun has revealed exciting insights about her character, Yalina, in the highly awaited sequel. After making a mark as a beloved child actress, Sara hints that audiences will witness the true depth and strength of Yalina in part 2.
In a recent interview with NDTV, Sara expressed, “Following the incredible response to the first installment, fans can expect even more of what they loved—action, storytelling, and more—when part 2 hits theaters.”
For those unfamiliar, Sara portrays Yalina Jamali, the daughter of Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali, played by Rakesh Bedi. The plot thickens as Ranveer Singh’s character schemes to win her heart, leading to their eventual marriage.
Delving deeper into her role, Sara shared, “What I admire about Yalina is her ability to follow her heart. She is strong yet deeply in love, and her true strength will truly shine in the sequel. We had extensive discussions about how to shape her character before we started filming.”
At just 20 years old, she continued, “We explored various ideas to portray her as a joyful and vibrant person, and as the story unfolds, her journey will justify the challenges she faces. Yalina shares some similarities with me, which made it easier to connect with her. I believe that every character should contribute meaningfully to the narrative and not merely serve as a background figure.”
Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, follows the record-breaking success of the original film, which debuted on December 5, 2025, and quickly became a blockbuster hit, grossing an astounding Rs 1283.5 crore globally by Day 45, including Rs 989.9 crore in India and Rs 293.6 crore overseas.
As anticipation builds for Dhurandhar 2, set to hit screens on March 19, it’s already generating buzz, especially with its clash against Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups—Yash’s comeback after KGF: Chapter 2. Interestingly, both films will release on the same date, and fans can look forward to a teaser for Dhurandhar 2 attached to Border 2, which premieres on January 23, 2026.
