Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture, Fighter, recently celebrated its second anniversary on January 25. Reflecting on this milestone, the filmmaker expressed his pride in the film, deeming it his finest work to date. He went on to share his ambitions for his forthcoming project, King, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan.
In a heartfelt message posted on X, Siddharth Anand commemorated Fighter’s two-year journey, which starred Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in leading roles. He wrote, “Two years of my best work. Fighter. The film I’m so proud of. Each scene I see on my timeline reminds me of the beauty captured. The cemetery scene between Patty and Saachi and the emotional moment between Minni and her father will forever remain timeless for me.”
Looking forward, Siddharth hinted at the anticipation surrounding King, stating, “Thank you for the love. Now, time to better it. King.”
Fighter, which drew inspiration from a story co-written by Siddharth Anand and Ramon Chibb, featured a talented cast that included Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney, and Sanjeeda Sheikh in supporting roles. Produced by Viacom18 Studios in partnership with Marflix Pictures, this film serves as the first installment in a planned aerial action franchise. The cinematography was handled by Satchith Paulose, with Aarif Sheikha overseeing editing, while the dynamic music was composed by the duo Vishal–Shekhar.
As for King, the release date has finally been revealed after much anticipation. The film is set to premiere during the festive Christmas weekend, making it a highly anticipated year-end blockbuster that aims to carry its momentum into 2027. The announcement was made by Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand on the eve of Pathaan’s third anniversary, stirring excitement for their collaboration.
