The promotional activities for the much-anticipated film Border 2 are in full swing. Following the spectacular launches of ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ and ‘Jaate Hue Lamhon’ in Jaisalmer and Mumbai, respectively, the film’s team made their way to Goa. There, they paid homage to the Indian Navy at the Karwar Naval Base, featuring the impressive INS Vikrant, an Indian warship.

On Wednesday evening, Sunny Deol, one of the film’s lead actors, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt moment with the sailors. He captioned the post, “Hindustan Meri Jaan Meri Aa Meri Shaan Hindustan…Pride. Honour. Bravery! INSVikrant IndianNavy Border2.”

Border 2 boasts a stellar cast, including Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, and is set to hit theaters on January 23. Recently, during an event in Jaisalmer, Sunny reflected on the profound impact his father Dharmendra’s war film ‘Haqeeqat’ had on him as a child, motivating him to create Border.

He shared, “I did Border because when I watched my father’s film ‘Haqeeqat,’ I loved it deeply. As a child, the film inspired me so much that I vowed to make something similar. I discussed it with J P Dutta, and together we decided to focus on the Longewala story, which holds a special place in our hearts.”

Sunny also spoke about the unexpected influence of Border on the youth, expressing his surprise at how it has inspired many young people to consider joining the armed forces. “Wherever I go, I never knew that we would instill so much confidence in youth, encouraging them to join the military. They often tell me that my film motivated them to enlist, and that means a lot to me,” he said.
