T-Series kicked off the year on a high note with the successful release of Border 2, featuring stars like Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Now, the renowned production house, led by Bhushan Kumar, is partnering with filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri to adapt the gripping tale of Operation Sindoor for the silver screen.

A reliable source has revealed, “Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Agnihotri are joining forces for their upcoming project on ‘Operation Sindoor’. This film will be produced under the banners of T-Series and I Am Buddha Productions, with Vivek Agnihotri at the helm as director.”

Operation Sindoor marks a pivotal military initiative carried out by India on May 6, 2025, in retaliation for a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including one Nepali national. The Indian government attributed this heinous act to terrorist groups based in Pakistan.

The source elaborated, “The film delves into the events surrounding India’s targeted military operations against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It highlights the aftermath of the devastating attack that primarily affected innocent tourists in Pahalgam.”

In the meantime, Vivek Agnihotri’s last film, The Bengal Files, premiered in September last year but struggled to resonate at the box office. This film sheds light on Direct Action Day, reflecting on one of the darkest periods in modern Indian history. It featured performances from Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumar and was both written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, with production credits going to Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi, and Agnihotri himself.
