Aditya Dhar’s highly anticipated film, Dhurandhar 2, is generating buzz as one of the year’s most awaited releases. This sequel to the blockbuster featuring Ranveer Singh is currently in production, and it’s been revealed that actress Yami Gautam will be making a special cameo appearance.
Yami Gautam’s involvement with Dhurandhar 2 runs deep, given that several of her family members, including her husband Aditya Dhar, her brother, and her brother-in-law, are part of the film’s team. Reports indicate that she has been visiting the sets during filming.
According to NDTV, Yami has shot for four days for her cameo, which plays a pivotal role in advancing the story. The sequel, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, will reunite the main cast, including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Rakesh Bedi. Additionally, Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rahman Baloch, who met his end in the first film, is set to make an appearance in flashback scenes.
However, the production faced a setback recently when unauthorized drone images from the set circulated online. These photos captured Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal filming in Ballard Estate, South Mumbai, where the area was transformed to depict Karachi’s Lyari for a significant scene.
The shoot was interrupted two days ago due to police intervention, following complaints about the crew operating a drone without proper permissions. A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against the film’s location manager, Rinku Rajpal Valmiki, for allegedly disobeying lawful orders.
On February 1, Sanjay Dutt was on set to film a crucial scene as SP Choudhary, dressed in a Pathani suit and wielding a gun, with a drone set to capture his dramatic entrance. However, police arrived shortly after and halted the filming, citing the unauthorized drone operation in a sensitive area.
