Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has once again received threats from the Khalistani group. The singer, who is currently on his AURA Tour, has been threatened by a warning issued by US-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. This comes just days before his upcoming Auckland show.

Diljit Dosanjh gets new threats from Khalistani goons

According to reports, pro-Khalistan slogans were raised at the singer`s concert in Perth earlier. As per an India Today report, following the incident, his upcoming show in Auckland, New Zealand, has now been threatened with disruption by Khalistani goons.

Interestingly, this is not the first time as Dosanjh continues to receive threats from the banned Khalistani group  Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) following his gesture of touching Amitabh Bachchan`s feet. His gesture had sparked a controversy.

Nevertheless, the singer has remained unfazed and chosen to stay calm and positive despite the threats. He has been sharing glimpses from his concert on social media regularly.

What`s the controversy about?

The controversy sparked after a promo showed Diljit touching Bachchan`s feet. Soon, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the notorious Khalistan terror group, issued a threat against the singer on October 29. The chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun also warned of shutting down Dosanjh`s Australia concert, which was scheduled for November 1.

In an earlier statement, the SFJ said that Dosanjh “insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of the 1984 Sikh Genocide” by touching the feet of Amitabh Bachchan.

The SFJ also alleged that the Bollywood actor had provoked the crowd by raising the genocidal slogan `Khoon Ka Badla Khoon (Blood for Blood)`. As per the Khalistani group, Bachchan`s `Khoon Ka Badla Khoon` call initiated violence in which over “30,000 Sikh men, women, and children were killed across India.”

NDTV reported that Pannu said, “By touching feet of Bachchan the man whose words orchestrated Genocide, Diljit Dosanjh has insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of 1984 Sikh Genocide.”

After receiving the threats, Diljit indirectly clarified that he did not appear on Amitabh Bachchan`s show to promote any film or song but to raise awareness and support for Punjab flood relief efforts. Taking to his Instagram story on November 1, he wrote in Punjabi, “Na Mai Kisey Film Di Promotion Lai Geya c, Na Kisey Ganey Di Promotion Lai. Punjab Floods Lai Geya C..Ke National Level Te Gal Hove.. Te Loki Donate kar Sakan. (I hadn’t gone there to promote any film or song. I went for the Punjab floods… so that the issue could be discussed at the national level and people could come forward to donate.)”
