Asha Parekh, Waheeda Rehman and Helen truly carved a niche for themselves in cinema during their stint in the 80s and 90s. The yesteryears divas share strong friendship and are often seen living their lives with full zeal and zest. As we look forward to celebrating Friendship Day on 3rd August, the gorgeous actress’ were seen enjoying a dinner night.

Taking to Instagram, Asha Parekh shared a picture featuring the three golden girls sitting in a restaurant and enjoying a meal. For the caption, she wrote: “Jab we met..Cherished moments with people I love.” In the picture, Asha looked graceful in a red saree as she smiled for the picture. Spotting three veteran stars in one frame was a delight for the fans. An Instagram user commented, “It so wonderful to see women who made us love movies (sic).” While another fan wrote, “Legend ladies together in one frame (sic)”.

Asha, Waheeda and Helen are good friends and are often spotted together at events or on their trips. In 2024, the three veteran stars had vacationed in Srinagar and shared pictures from the trip on social media. The trio even celebrated together after getting conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2022.

About the actresses

Talking about Ashaji, she commenced her journey in cinema as a child actor and made her debut as a lead heroine in the 1959 film Dil Deke Dekho. After which, she was seen in movies such as Teesri Manzil, Love In Tokyo, Caravan, Udhar Ka Sindur, Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki and Aan Milo Sajna and Mera Gaon Mera Desh among many others.

While 87-year-old Waheeda made her acting debut in 1955 with the Telugu film Rojulu Marayi. She was then seen in films such as Pyaasa, Guide, Neel Kamal, Reshma Aur Shera, Khamoshi, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Chaudhvin Ka Chand and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam.

Talking about Helen, she was hailed as the ‘dance queen of bollywood’ and has appeared in over 500 films in a career spanning seven decades. She has been a part of films such as Howrah Bridge, Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai, Woh Kaun Thi, Caravan, Upaasna, Ram Balram and Sholay to name a few.
