Govinda’s wife has been in the limelight for quite some time. From opening up about the actor’s affair and feuds in the industry to accusing him of infidelity, she has gone on record with some shocking claims about his life. Now, during his appearance on Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Govinda admits Sunita is like a child and says he has forgiven her for her mistakes. He also slammed producers, calling him out for coming late to sets.
Govinda on Sunita’s claims
Govinda told hosts Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, “She is a child herself. My children handle my wife as if she’s a child. Sunita is like a kid, but the responsibilities that she was given, she could manage our household only because she is what she is. She is an honest child. Her words are never wrong. It is just that she says things that she shouldn’t. The problem with men is that they can’t think along those lines. I always believe that the man runs the house, but women run the whole world.”
Govinda added that he has ‘forgiven’ Sunita for her remarks in interviews. “She has herself made so many mistakes… I have forgiven her and the entire family so many times. Sometimes, according to me, we rely too much on them. Especially if your mother is not with you, you rely too much on your wife. And as time passes, she starts scolding you like a mother; she explains also like a mother. They don’t realise it, but we see it. We can see how they have changed now and how they were when they were young,” the actor shared.
Govinda on getting defamed for arriving late on sets
Reacting to the rumours about him always being late to sets, which reportedly affected some professional relationships, Govinda said, “Mai defame hua hu ki mai time pe nahi aata hu. Maine kaha, `Kiske baap ke andar taaqat hai ki woh 5 shifts kare aur time pe aaye?` (I’ve been defamed for not arriving on time. Who has the strength to do five shifts and still come on time?) It’s just not possible. How can someone do so much shooting? Here, people get exhausted doing even one film.”
