Playing Ajay Devgn’s in-laws
Stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan, and Gautami Kapoor attended the trailer launch of De De Pyaar De 2 in Mumbai recently. The film is a sequel to the 2019 hit, De De Pyaar De. In the movie Rakul plays Aisha, who introduces her partner Ashish (played by Ajay) to her family, including her father, played by Madhavan. Asked about playing Ajay’s girlfriend’s father despite being nearly the same age — Ajay is 56 and Madhavan, 55 — Madhavan said, “I have never done a father’s role before and competing with Ajay, I was very nervous. I have seen other actors who are so busy when they come to the set but Ajay sir is always present on the set and dedicated. We have always felt connected.” Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film also features Jaaved Jaaferi, Meezaan Jafri, and Ishita Dutta. It is slated to arrive in cinemas on November 14.

Actor Shahid Kapoor is beaming with pride over his half-brother Ishaan Khatter’s acclaimed performance in Homebound, India’s official entry for the Oscars 2026. Taking to Instagram, Shahid shared a photo of them hugging, and wrote, “I’m so proud of you. It’s a joy to see you come into your own as an actor. Always your proudest cheerleader.” His wife, Mira Kapoor, also praised Ishaan’s performance, calling it “a film that leaves you speechless” and lauding his “magic” and “honesty”. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound follows two childhood friends whose dream of becoming police officers tests their bond.

The latest episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna will feature Govinda and Chunky Panday, promising fun banter and 90’s nostalgia. Chunky, on the show that will air tonight seems to candidly reveal a cheeky stunt he once pulled to sabotage a Govinda film. “Ek baar Govinda ki picture release hui thi na, woh hit jane wali thi, toh maine tickets black mein khareed ke aadhe bhau mein beche, taki picture ki report kharab hojaye,” he said.

Actor Anil Kapoor has officially wrapped dubbing for the upcoming action-drama, Subedar, directed by Suresh Triveni. On Instagram, the director shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse that saw Anil with Saurabh Shukla during the dubbing session. Anil re-shared the post on his Instagram story and wrote “Dubbing wrap”. Set in India’s heartlands, the movie follows Arjun Singh, a former soldier navigating civilian life and a fractured relationship with his daughter. The movie is slated to theatres in 2026. Anil will now join Shah Rukh Khan in Poland for the shoot of Siddharth Anand’s King.
