Actress Huma Qureshi has showered praise on her rumoured partner Rachit Singh for his big-screen debut with Thamma. The actress took to her Instagram Stories and shared a still featuring Rachit from the horror-comedy. She expressed her pride in Rachit and spoke about his 10-year struggle to reach where he is.

Huma wrote, “For a boy from Banaras who came to Mumbai with nothing and knowing no one… So proud of you and this journey you have been on. Toiled for 10 years as an acting coach…learning, teaching, unlearning and building a community around you…”

“And today is the first time you will be seen on the big screen in Thamma. One of the biggest films of the year. Just a testament of your hard work and resilience…This is just the first blood. Much more to follow. Higher and higher always,” she added.

About Huma and Rachit`s rumoured engagement 

Last month, it was reported that the two are engaged. As per a report in Hindustan Times, a source close to the couple revealed that Huma and Rachit are now engaged. The chatter around Huma`s relationship with Rachit started making headlines when their mutual friend, Akasa shared a candid photo with cute caption. She had written, “Congratulations on your little piece of heaven with the best name, Huma. Had the best night.”

Adding fuel to the buzz, Huma was also part of Rachit`s intimate birthday celebrations. Sharing a photo from the occasion, Rachit captioned it, “A Rose amongst two Thorns! thank u for the celebrations and birthday love,” where Huma was seen posing next to him. Before this, Huma and Rachit raised eyebrows as they were spotted twinning at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal`s wedding.

However, Huma quashed the reports with a cryptic note on social media. 

Who is Rachit Singh?

Rachit is an acting coach by profession and he has reportedly worked with actors including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, and Saif Ali Khan, according to a Hindustan Times report. In addition, Rachit recently portrayed Vedant in the online series Karmma Calling, starring Varun Sood and Raveena Tandon.
