The makers of director Sriram Raghavan`s upcoming film Ikkis have unveiled the trailer of the film. Ikkis is the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at just 21- honoured posthumously for his unmatched courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

The trailer shows a glimpse of Agastya Nanda`s role as soldier Arun Khetarpal, who was martyred on the battlefield. The trailer highlights Arun Khetarpal`s courage and grit to fight for the nation. His love story with actress Simar Bhatia is also portrayed in the trailer.

As per the makers, the film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously and lived an exemplary life. The makers had earlier released a one-minute teaser showcasing a Telegram shared during the time of the India-Pakistan war: Battle of Basantar in 1971. The letter reported the unfortunate demise of Arun Khetarpal during the Indo-Pak war in 1971, as per the teaser. The film was initially supposed to be released on October 2. However, the film will now be released in December. The makers are yet to announce the date.

Apart from Agastya, the film also stars senior actor Dharmendra. The biopic also has Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles. Akshay Kumar`s niece Simar Bhatia will also be seen making her acting debut with this biographical war drama.
