Fans got a special surprise as makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film King revealed its title with an explosive video clip on the actor’s 60th birthday. The title reveal also unveiled the actor`s first look from the upcoming film, sparking significant buzz across social media. However, soon after, netizens pointed out that King Khan`s look bore a striking resemblance to that of actor Brad Pitt in Hollywood, with many accusing the makers of copying. But SRK fans were in no mood to take criticism as they clapped back with proofs defending the actor.

Shah Rukh Khan`s first look from the film had the actor sporting a silver-haired, gun-toting avatar. It soon became the talk of the town for his return to action roles, as well as for the striking resemblance of his outfit to Brad Pitt’s in the F1 movie. Shah Rukh is seen sporting a blue shirt and tan jacket, which is similar to Brad Pitt’s appearance in the `F1` film.

The similarity quickly sparked an online debate regarding whether the costume was inspired by or directly copied from the Hollywood production.
King is helmed by Siddharth Anand and also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan, among others, playing key roles. The film marks SRK and Siddharth`s second collaboration after the 2023 film Pathaan.

One user on X criticised the makers, saying, “Costume Designer just watched `F1` before joining the sets of King,” while another wrote, “Lol, didn’t even try to hide.” Accusing the makers of copying one user noted, “SRK copied Brad Pitt in King.” Meanwhile, another joked, “Hahahah what is this.. aise kaise copy kar dete hai yaar. Haddd hai aur kya hi expect kar sakte hai bollywood se.”

Some fans came to SRK`s defence, stating that it was a homage, saying, “I think this was intentional; a homage to Brad Pitt`s F1 look.” Another fan wrote, “Manifested SRK to look like Brad Pitt in `F1` and the Universe didn’t even hesitate.”
Others responded by digging up earlier examples from Khan’s own filmography, including his look from the 2017 film Jab Harry Met Sejal, where he is seen donning the same attire.
