Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff, along with other celebrities, were seen at Mumbai`s Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, December 14, as football legend Lionel Messi visited the city as part of his much-anticipated G.O.A.T India Tour 2025. Sunday marked the third leg of the tour following his appearances in Kolkata and Hyderabad on Saturday. However, the Bollywood actors were faced with an unexpected, awkward and embarrassing moment when the crowd began loudly booing them while they were being felicitated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The video clips of the loud booing in the stadium are now going viral on social media. In one of the clips, Tiger was called on stage and introduced as a `youth icon` and `India`s youngest action star.` The Baaghi actor was felicitated for being the face of Project Mahadeva, an initiative aimed at identifying, nurturing, and training young football talent across the state.

Actor Ajay Devgn was felicitated next and was described as an actor whose work consistently reflects discipline and purpose. His introduction also mentions that through his film Maidaan, which is based on the life of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, he highlighted the golden era of Indian football.
However, when Tiger and Ajay went up on stage and were being felicitated, they were loudly booed by the crowd at Wankhede Stadium. Meanwhile, after greeting Ajay and Tiger, Messi was seen patiently standing aside as the boos echoed across the stadium.

Messi was greeted by a sea of fans who arrived to cheer for and catch a glimpse of the legendary footballer during his visit to Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Apart from Ajay and Tiger, Messi also shared a special moment with Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar towards the end of the event. The master-blaster presented him with a Team India jersey. Messi returned the gesture by gifting Tendulkar a football, a moment which drew loud cheers from the crowd.
During the event, Sachin was seen holding the Indian flag, while Luis Suárez proudly carried Uruguay`s colours and Rodrigo De Paul waved Argentina`s flag. Meanwhile, Messi is expected to arrive in Delhi on Monday, along with his Inter Miami teammates Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.
