On November 2, numerous Bollywood fans flocked to The Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto to see actor Madhuri Dixit perform live as she launched her international tour of the United States and Canada. However, the majority of these fans apparently left the arena unhappy. Members of the audience complained on social media that Madhuri arrived 3 hours late, left early, and delivered a `lacklustre interview` instead of performing on stage as fans had expected. Her short dancing videos went viral, but fans grumbled that the presentation was not as advertised as a `concert`. True Sound Live Ltd. issued an official statement days later, stating, “Madhuri Dixit’s own management team misinformed her about the call time, resulting in her late arrival around 10 PM.”  Madhuri has now made her first social media post since the entire disaster.

Madhuri Dixit has not addressed the issue surrounding her debut Toronto show. Instead, in her message, the actor thanked fans for a wonderful first show and announced the dates of her upcoming `meet and greet` engagements on tour. Along with a tour poster, Madhuri wrote, “Thank you, Toronto, for a lovely Meet and Greet, and I`m looking forward to meeting my fans in New Jersey on November 6th.” Boston on November 7th. Chicago on November 8th. Houston on November 9th. “New York on November 15th.” This post is now getting flak. According to netizens, Madhuri initially described her trip as a `series of spectacular live shows`, but it is now being pushed as a `meet and greet`.

Netizens slam Madhuri Dixit

In the comment section below, one such internet user said, “Madhuri Dixit Nene, it`s bad that you`re suddenly claiming it`s a meet and greet after your Toronto audience, including myself, spent money without the necessary information. I`ve been a fan since I was a youngster, but I`ve been thoroughly disappointed. Transparency is vital. I hope you and your team are more upfront about your other concerts,” while another wrote, “The Toronto show was terrible. I see they`ve added “meet and greet”.

Another commenter stated, “But you owe Toronto an apology for fake advertising…your own post on your profile does not call it a Meet and Greet.” You mention an evening of dance, music, and celebrations, while a netizen stated, “Madhuri Dixit Nene. I grew up enjoying and watching you. As of today. Toronto is quite disappointed with your performance. They were misled. False advertisement about what the concert was intended to be. What everyone expected and what really happened.”

A few fans came out in support of Madhuri Dixit

Some fans also came out in support of the actress. One such netizen noted, “A Queen unlike any other,” while another revealed, “I saw you in Atlanta last year, and you were FABULOUS!!”

The next live event on the tour is today, November 6, in New Jersey.
