Shah Rukh Khan to attend GOAT tour

On Thursday, Shah Rukh Khan took to X to share that he will be visiting Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on December 13. He posted a creative announcement confirming his presence at the grand event.

He wrote, “This time round not planning my Knight in Kolkata… and hoping the day’s ride is completely ‘Messi’. See you guys on the 13th at the Salt Lake Stadium.”

For over a decade, SRK has had a sentimental bond with Kolkata as the co-owner of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. He also shares a warm equation with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

About Messi’s India tour

Football icon Lionel Messi is set to arrive in India on December 13 for the much-anticipated GOAT Tour 2025, a three-day event across Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi from December 13 to 15. Messi, travelling from Miami, is expected to land in Kolkata around 1:30 am, followed by a packed schedule beginning at 9:30 am.

The World Cup-winning captain will attend multiple interactions and events before departing for Hyderabad at 2 pm. In Kolkata, he is also scheduled to meet former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.  A 70-foot iron statue of football icon Lionel Messi, claimed as the biggest ever made of the Argentine superstar, has been completed by the Sree Bhumi Sporting Club at Lake Town in South Dum Dum, Kolkata.

In Hyderabad, Messi’s itinerary includes a highly anticipated 7v7 exhibition match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, expected to be attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The evening will conclude with a musical celebration of Messi’s career. After Hyderabad, Messi will travel to Mumbai and then Delhi.

The GOAT India Tour 2025 is designed as a pan-India celebration—starting in the East (Kolkata) and South (Hyderabad) on December 13, moving to the West (Mumbai) on December 14, and concluding in the North (Delhi) on December 15.
