Sunita Ahuja, Govinda`s wife, has spoken openly about her husband`s lousy company and habit of surrounding himself with pandits and astrologers. In a recent podcast, she claimed that the actor spends more than Rs 2 lakhs on a puja, as recommended by fortune tellers. She also revealed how his circle gives him bad counsel and won`t let Govinda listen to his own wife.

Sunita Ahuja talks about Govinda spending on pujas

During a chat with Paras S Chhabra on the Abraa Kaa Dabra Show, the host and Sunita were discussing how some pandits do not have the appropriate intentions when Sunita said, “We also have one in our house, Govinda`s pandit. He is also like this: get pujas done and contribute Rs 2 lakh. I tell him that you should pray on your own; puja paath kuch kaam na aane wala hai. God will accept the prayers you offer on your own. I don`t believe any of this. Even if I donate or perform a good deed, I do so with my own hands to build my karma. People get afraid.”

Sunita Ahuja wants Govinda to take care of his health

Sunita also went on to share that Govinda needs to take care of himself. He needs to stop listening to other`s advice and focus on his weight and skin. She quipped, “Now Chichi has to lose weight and look good. His skin has gone bad. He should take care of himself, that’s my wish. He recently said that I am making three films, but I feel that the problem is that he doesn’t get a good team. The circle that he sits in has fool writers that are less of writers and more fools.”

She further added, “They make him a fool and give terrible advice. He doesn’t get good people, and they don’t like me because I say the truth. Mere baare mein sab uske kaan bharte rehte hain, and he believes everyone. I want to tell them that if you want to say something, say it on my face, not to him.”

Sunita Ahuja reveals Govinda spends on his chamchas

Sunita went on to say that she wishes to do something for animals and the elderly. “It is my heart`s desire to build an old age home and a shelter for animals. I`ll make sure to do so with my own money. “I will not accept a single rupee from Govinda because he will only give money to his chamchas (bootlickers),” she concluded.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987, after three years of courtship. The couple is blessed with two children: son Yashvardhan and daughter Tina Ahuja. However, reports about their divorce have been circulating on the internet for several months.
