Shubman Gill-led India were on Friday dismissed for the lowest total of the series so far, 224 runs, in testing conditions at The Oval.
With the ball darting around under overcast skies and moisture in the pitch, it has been anything but straightforward for the batters. The seam movement and bounce made scoring difficult, and India will now look to exploit the same morning conditions with the ball in hand.
The innings came to an end when Gus Atkinson found a faint outside edge off Prasidh Krishna’s bat, completing a clinical five-wicket haul.
Atkinson was the standout performer, as England wrapped up the Indian innings with four quick wickets early on Day 2.
