Having needed to chase a target of 265 runs, Cooper Connolly anchored Australia`s run chase against the “Men in Blue”. While chasing a target of 265 runs, the left-hander played an unbeaten knock of 61 runs off 53 balls, including five boundaries and a maximum.
The side chased the target in 46.2 overs and lost eight wickets.
Opening the innings, skipper Mitchell Marsh returned early after scoring 11 runs in 24 balls, including a boundary. Fellow opening batsman Travis Head accumulated 28 runs off 40 balls, with the help of a boundary and a maximum.
Coming to bat at number three, Matt Short smashed 74 runs after facing 78 balls. His knock was laced with four boundaries and two maximums.
