In the ODI Women`s World Cup 2025 match against South Africa, Team India was bowled out for 251 runs in 49.5 overs at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
India`s Richa Ghosh delivered a fighting knock of 94 runs off just 77 deliveries. Her knock was laced with 11 boundaries and four maximums.
Having put India to bat first, Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana opened the innings and delivered a decent start. Facing 32 balls, Mandhana departed after scoring 23 runs, with the help of a boundary and a maximum. On the other hand, Rawal accumulated 37 runs off 56 balls, which was laced with five boundaries.
Harleen Deol returned to the pavilion on a low score. She managed to score 13 runs in 23 balls, including a boundary.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, too, was not able to score many runs. She was dismissed on four runs after facing 24 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues departed on a four-ball duck, whereas Deepti Sharma was able to score just four runs in 14 deliveries.
Amanjot Kaur registered 13 runs in 44 balls and also smashed a boundary.
Chloe Tryon was the most successful bowler for South Africa. Completing her quota of 10 overs, she bagged three wickets by conceding 32 runs.
