Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, who is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film Border 2, recently addressed a critical comment from a social media user regarding his acting prowess. The film, directed by Anurag Singh, features prominent actors such as Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.

In the comments section of his Instagram post, a user remarked, “Bhai aapki acting pe sawaal utha raha hai log, uske liye kya bolega?” Varun, known for his wit, responded humorously, “Yehi sawaal ne gaana hit kara diya. Sab enjoy kar rahe hain- rab di mehar.”

Just days prior, Varun engaged with fans in a lively Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. One notable interaction involved a fan criticizing his film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, labeling it as “pathetic” and questioning his comeback efforts. The fan expressed, “Bhai, aren’t you serious about your comeback? Stop doing pathetic movies like SSKTK in the name of versatility.” Varun playfully replied, “Chalo, film phir bhi thodi chal gayi. Aap theatre jaate rehna. Main Border 2 might surprise you, since your taste is amazing.”

Another fan reminded Varun of a poignant line from Kalank, saying, “Jab kisi aur ki barbaadi apni jeet lagne lage, toh samajh lena… tum bhi barbaad ho chuke ho.” Varun’s thoughtful response was, “Bahut sahi baat hai yeh. Kuch log aise hote hain. All one can do is keep your head down and work. Never laugh at someone’s failure.”

Regarding Border 2,
Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, serves as a spiritual sequel to the 1997 war classic Border. The film revisits the Battle of Longewala during the 1971 India-Pakistan war while also honoring the sacrifices made by the Indian Navy and Air Force.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film is set to premiere on January 23, 2026, in line with the Republic Day weekend. The cast also includes Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and Medha Rana.

In Border 2, Varun Dhawan portrays an Indian Army officer inspired by the real-life hero PVC Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. He shared insights about his rigorous preparation, stating, “I injured my tailbone while shooting the Battle of Basantar. I shot for 40 days in Babina with real soldiers.”
