In light of a recent incident involving an Ariana Afghan Airlines flight mistakenly landing on the incorrect runway at Delhi’s IGI Airport, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is advocating for the installation of mandatory video and audio recording systems in air traffic control towers at international airports. This proposal aims to enhance safety and accountability in air traffic management, ensuring that such critical errors can be analyzed and addressed effectively.
