Renowned celebrity duo Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have made a significant addition to their real estate portfolio in Alibaug. Already proud owners of a residence in this popular getaway near Mumbai, they have recently acquired a sprawling five-acre land parcel in the area, valued at approximately Rs 37.86 crore.
Details of the Latest Acquisition
This marks their second land purchase in Alibaug over the past four years. As per property registration documents reviewed by CRE Matrix, the new acquisition comprises two plots measuring 1.474 hectares and 0.627 hectares, located in Zirad village, close to Awas Beach in Raigad district. The combined value of these parcels stands at Rs 37.86 crore, with the transaction registered on January 13, 2026.
In this deal, the couple paid a stamp duty of Rs 2.27 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000, according to the documentation. One of the plots encompasses 14,740 square meters, while the other covers 6,270 square meters, totaling 21,010 square meters.
The seller of the property is Sonali Amit Rajput, with Samira Land Assets Private Limited serving as the confirming party.
Virushka’s Previous Purchase in Alibaug
In 2022, Anushka and her husband Virat had previously purchased a substantial land parcel in a neighboring village. The couple, affectionately dubbed Virushka, acquired two adjacent plots—one approximately 2.54 acres and the other about 4.91 acres—bringing their total land ownership in the area to 7.45 acres. The purchase price for this land was around Rs 19.24 crore, along with a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 crore.
They later constructed a luxurious bungalow on this property, which features an array of amenities such as a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a custom-designed kitchen, four bathrooms, a jacuzzi, expansive gardens, covered parking, and quarters for staff.
Anushka Sharma’s Professional Endeavors
Recently, the actress made a brief appearance in the film Qala, starring Triptii Dimri. However, she hasn’t taken on a full role since her performance in the 2018 movie Zero. Anushka has been working on Chakda Express, a biopic about renowned Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami, but its release has faced delays due to creative differences. The production team is reportedly exploring alternative platforms for its debut.
