Anees Bazmee is a notable name in Bollywood, known for his engaging storytelling. Following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, he was set to dive into No Entry 2, which was set to star Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor. However, the project has been paused as both Varun and Diljit have stepped away. In a recent interview, Bazmee discussed the future of the sequel and his intention to get back to it.
Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Bazmee expressed, “We dedicated ourselves to crafting a beautiful story for the No Entry sequel. It’s unfortunate that it couldn’t be made due to various actors’ schedules. At one point, we were ready to roll cameras, but unforeseen issues arose last minute. I believe every film has its own fate.”
He went on to say, “This film holds a special place for both me and producer Boney Kapoor. Everyone who has read the script has told me, ‘This is a stunning film; it deserves to be made.’ Inshallah, we will make it happen soon. I’m confident that audiences will enjoy it.”
When asked about the timeline for returning to No Entry 2 after his upcoming film with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, Bazmee replied, “Absolutely, I’d love to bring No Entry 2 to life after this project. I also have a few other films lined up. The hiatus since my last release was largely due to my dedication to No Entry 2.”
The original cast, including Dhawan, Arjun, and Dosanjh, had fans buzzing with excitement. A source close to the production mentioned, “Varun was really enthusiastic about No Entry 2,” adding that scheduling conflicts following Dosanjh’s departure complicated matters.
In the meantime, Anees Bazmee’s next film will reunite Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, marking their first collaboration since Mission Mangal six years ago. A production insider noted, “This film is a classic Anees Bazmee comedy, filled with fast-paced scenes and humorous situations arising from multiple characters. While other actors, including leading lady Vidya Balan, will join later, shooting will commence on January 20 with the superstar.”
