Building on the excitement from its trailer, Sajid Nadiadwala’s O’Romeo amplifies the energy with its latest track, Aashiqon Ki Colony. This vibrant, upbeat dance number is a standout, infused with a nostalgic 90s aesthetic while harmonizing with modern beats. The result is a catchy tune that resonates with both memory and contemporary flair.
Aashiqon Ki Colony features a legendary creative team. With music by Vishal Bhardwaj, lyrics by Gulzar, and vocals from Madhubanti Bagchi and Javed Ali, the song exudes a playful vibe that feels both classic and fresh. It captures the essence of beloved Bollywood melodies while integrating today’s musical trends, courtesy of T-Series.
The on-screen chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Disha Patani is a highlight, as they collaborate for the first time, radiating a spontaneous and electric energy. Set against a lively, festive backdrop, both actors bring their unique styles to the performance. Shahid showcases a rugged new look, incorporating a slick, Michael Jackson-inspired move that adds an exciting twist, while Disha displays confidence and fluidity, her charm making the performance even more captivating.
With its nostalgic flavor, Indian soul, and danceable beats, Aashiqon Ki Colony encapsulates the spirit of classic Bollywood dance anthems, reimagined for a modern audience. Fun, vibrant, and irresistibly energetic, this track enhances the musical landscape of O’Romeo as the film gears up for its Valentine’s Week premiere.
In related news, a controversy has emerged surrounding O’Romeo. Sanober Sheikh, daughter of Hussain Ustara—who is said to have inspired the film—has issued a legal notice to the makers. She alleges an inaccurate portrayal of her father and is seeking Rs 2 crore in compensation. Sanober has clarified that her family is not threatening the filmmakers but is pursuing legal action and requesting a pre-release screening to ensure her father’s story is depicted accurately.
At the trailer launch, Vishal Bharadwaj addressed the situation, stating, “There is a book called Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi. I acquired the rights to that story and based the film on it. While the characters are similar, much of the narrative is fictionalized. I didn’t believe I needed further permissions as it’s based on a story from a book.” O’Romeo is set to hit theaters on Valentine’s Week, February 13, 2026.
