Actress Shilpa Shetty poured her heart out in a delightful birthday tribute for her sister, Shamita Shetty, affectionately referring to her as her ‘A1 from day 1’. Shilpa took to Instagram, sharing a nostalgic video that showcased adorable snapshots from Shamita’s childhood. Alongside this, she posted a collection of cherished photographs featuring moments spent with Shamita and their mother over the years.
In her heartfelt caption, Shilpa wrote, “A little throwback because… how could I not it’s your birthdayyyy.” She continued, “Happyyy birthdayyy, my Tunkiii My A1 from day 1. May your life always be filled with endless happiness, good health, laughter, and love. Remember, you always have me – today, tomorrow, forever… no matter what. Shamita, the younger sister of Shilpa, debuted in the film industry with the romantic drama Mohabbatein in 2000 and has appeared in various films like Bewafaa, Zeher, and Cash. After a brief hiatus, she participated in several reality shows including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, and Bigg Boss.
On the other hand, Shilpa was recently seen in the film Sukhee, directed by Sonal Joshi in her directorial debut, where she stars alongside Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila, and Pavleen Gujral. The film tells the story of Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who, tired of her mundane life, travels to Delhi for her high school reunion. In just seven days, she relives her youth and undergoes a transformational journey from being a wife and mother back to embracing her identity as a woman.
Shilpa will also appear in KD: The Devil, directed by Prem, starring Dhruva Sarja in the title role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta, and Nora Fatehi.
