Actor Vikrant Massey has been at the center of speculation regarding his involvement in the highly anticipated film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Initially rumored to portray Meghanad, recent reports indicated that Raghav Juyal had taken over the role. In response, Massey was quick to clarify the situation, stating he was never part of the project at all. His clarification, posted on Instagram Stories, emphasized the misleading nature of the media reports. He wrote, “To put things to rest, I was never a part of this movie. Am not, never was. Such irresponsible media coverage from ‘respectable’ media houses is kinda appalling. Nonetheless, wishing everyone on Ramayana all the very best. Will surely buy a ticket and watch it in cinemas.” However, this post was later deleted. According to Variety India, Raghav Juyal is now officially part of the Ramayana cast, set to portray Meghanad, the eldest son of Ravana. This character will be featured in Ramayana Part 2, slated for a Diwali 2027 release. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, among others. Recently, it was reported that the first character posters will be revealed at a grand event on Ram Navami, attracting major Bollywood stars who have been personally invited by Ranbir Kapoor. This event will mark the first presentation of the film’s character universe.
