Today marks a significant milestone as Anil Kapoor reflects on the 45th anniversary of his celebrated film, ‘Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya.’ This project was not just another role for him; it was a life-changing experience that he cherishes deeply. Anil recalled the initial struggles the film faced in finding distributors, yet upon its release, it etched a permanent place in the annals of Indian cinema. He shared a heartfelt video montage featuring memorable moments from the film on his social media.
In his touching post, he wrote, “Forty-five years ago, a film that struggled to find buyers finally premiered with just one show, and that single screening became a pivotal moment in my life. ‘Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya’ gifted me an invaluable experience that I remain thankful for to this day. (sic)” He reminisced about how a journey filled with uncertainty transformed into a landmark achievement, saying, “Collaborating with M. S. Sathyu, being captured through the lens of Ishan Arya, and sharing the screen with Pankaj Kapur—both of us just starting our careers—was extraordinary for a young actor stepping into the cinematic world. What began as a challenge blossomed into a cherished milestone. Looking back 45 years later, I feel immense gratitude for the struggles, lessons, and the film that shaped my journey.”
Released in 1981 and directed by MS Sathyu, ‘Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya’ featured a stellar cast, including Pankaj Kapur, Sharon Prabhakar, Masood Akhtar, and Neesha Singh.
Next, Anil is set to portray the character of Arjun Singh in Suresh Triveni’s upcoming film ‘Subedaar,’ where he will depict a former soldier dealing with the complexities of civilian life while working to mend his relationship with his daughter, Shyama, played by Radhikka Madan.
