The romantic drama O’Romeo, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, is making waves at the box office. Its impressive growth was particularly noticeable on Valentine’s Day, the second day post-release. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film premiered on February 13, 2026, and has shown a consistent upward trend in its box office performance over its initial days in theaters.

On its opening day, O’Romeo garnered around Rs 8.5 crore, and by Saturday, it experienced a remarkable surge, with reports indicating a nearly 45% increase in earnings, totaling approximately Rs 12.25 crore. This brings the film’s two-day all-India nett collection to an estimated Rs 20.75 crore.

So far, O’Romeo has amassed Rs 24.6 crore domestically, in addition to about Rs 2 crore from international markets, pushing its global earnings to around Rs 26.6 crore.

In its second day, the film was showcased in 4,747 screenings across the country, achieving an average occupancy rate of 19.3%. Analysts attribute this boost to the Valentine’s weekend, a time when couples and younger audiences flock to cinemas, along with the buzz created by early positive word-of-mouth reviews.

The film faces competition from another release, Tu Yaa Main, featuring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, which managed to earn an estimated Rs 1.4 crore on Saturday, bringing its total to about Rs 2 crore.

About O’Romeo: In addition to Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, the film boasts a stellar cast including Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia. Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, O’Romeo tells a poignant story of love, loss, and the repercussions of love denied, inspired by a chapter in Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, and centered around the life of gangster Hussain Ustara, portrayed by Shahid Kapoor.
