At the recent trailer launch of *Subedaar*, Anil Kapoor opened up about the grounding influence of his family, which includes his wife Sunita and their three children. He humorously noted that no one in his household treats him like a star. In fact, he sometimes asks Sunita for a bit of pocket money, typically around Rs 10,000 to 15,000, before heading off to a shoot.

Reflecting on his family’s role in his life, Kapoor shared, “No one is my fan at home. As I was leaving for the trailer launch today, I mentioned to my wife that I was going out. Her response was, ‘Which film?’ She’s completely unaware of what’s happening in my professional life, which is refreshing. They treat me just like anyone else. Sometimes, I even request a few thousand rupees before I go to work.”

Anil has often praised Sunita for her unwavering support throughout his acting career, especially during the early days when he was still finding his footing in the industry.

Regarding *Subedaar*, the film’s trailer dives into the heart of India, where illegal sand mining prevails in a landscape marked by fear and silence. Kapoor plays retired Subedaar Arjun Maurya, who is disciplined and bears the scars of battle, confronting his past and a new challenge as he collides with Prince (Aditya Rawal).

With palpable intensity, Kapoor delivers the compelling line, “Fauji hai, seene mein goli jhel sakte hai, beizzati nahi.” This sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation, further complicated by his strained relationship with his daughter Shyama (Radhikka Madan). The film promises a gritty yet deeply human narrative, showcasing a clash of ego, pain, and survival.

Speaking on his role, Kapoor expressed, “Playing Subedaar Arjun Maurya has been one of the most powerful and emotionally demanding experiences of my career. This character embodies discipline, sacrifice, and profound personal loss. It also marks my first collaboration with Suresh Triveni, Vikram Malhotra, and Prime Video. Their dedication to authenticity allowed us to tell this story with the intensity it truly deserves.”
