Ravie Dubey has established himself as a notable actor through various acclaimed projects that showcase his versatility and artistic vision. Currently, he is preparing for what is anticipated to be one of the most ambitious films in Indian cinema, ‘Ramayana,’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In this epic mythological tale, Ravie will take on the role of Lakshman. He recently shared a fascinating coincidence that occurred exactly one year before he was cast, as he visited a Lakshman temple, a moment that now feels profoundly symbolic.

Speaking about this powerful coincidence, Ravie recounted, “About a year before I was confirmed for the film, I was filming in Lucknow. We were engaged in a guerrilla-style shoot. I was riding a bike with my co-star behind me, taking rounds of the streets. At one point, I was on the phone with my director when he called for a cut. We parked the motorcycle and waited for the next instruction. That’s when I noticed a temple nearby. It was the Lakshman temple.”

He elaborated on his visit to the temple, stating, “I had no idea it existed. It was then that I learned Lucknow was actually known as Lakshmanpuri, a name given by Lord Ram himself. I felt an inexplicable pull to enter the temple. Inside, I folded my hands in prayer and paid my respects. There was an image depicting Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman—a classic representation. I sat in contemplation, offered my respects, and captured a photo.”

Ravie continued, “Interestingly, my character in that show was named Lakhan, titled ‘Lakhan Leela Bhargav.’ These incredible synchronicities struck me. When I was finally cast in the film, that memory resurfaced, and I realized it was almost exactly a year after my visit to the temple that I became Lakshman.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating Ravie’s portrayal of Lakshman, a character known for his fierce loyalty and strength.
