Shivaleeka Oberoi recently referred to her pregnancy as a “joint production” with her husband, Abhishek Pathak. While her filmmaker spouse is immersed in the making of the third installment of Drishyam, featuring Ajay Devgn, she is embracing the journey into motherhood.
On Saturday, Shivaleeka shared a series of stunning maternity shoot photos on Instagram, featuring herself and Abhishek. She humorously noted that “deals were struck” between them for this unique endeavor.
“Think of it as a co-production. He’s busy creating thrillers, while I’m busy creating a human. Deals were made,” she captioned the post. As Abhishek focuses on filming Drishyam 3, Shivaleeka is ensuring they capture every moment of her pregnancy with as many maternity photos as she desires. “He’s shooting Drishyam 3 while I’m documenting my maternity journey. Both productions are thriving!” she remarked.
The couple first crossed paths during the filming of the 2020 action drama, Khuda Hafiz, which tells the gripping tale of Sameer, whose life is turned upside down when his wife is kidnapped by human traffickers. After getting engaged in July 2022, they celebrated their marriage in February 2023.
Shivaleeka made her acting debut in the 2019 film Yeh Saali Aashiqui and gained fame with Khuda Hafiz in 2020. She last appeared in Khuda Hafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha in 2022, reprising her role as Nargis alongside Vidyut Jammwal.
Meanwhile, Abhishek has directed the successful Drishyam 2, which stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran, among others. He has also worked on projects like Ujda Chaman and produced films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Section 375.
Regarding Drishyam 3, the production team began filming in Goa last December, with actor Jaideep Ahlawat also joining the cast. The Drishyam series tells the compelling story of a family entangled in a shocking disappearance. As they attempt to move on from their traumatic past, new challenges arise, threatening to unveil dark secrets.
This film is a Hindi adaptation of the acclaimed Malayalam original of the same name.
