Actress and dancer Nora Fatehi recently reassured her fans of her safety in India while advocating for global unity amidst rising tensions in West Asia. Despite her heartfelt call for peace, she faced backlash and trolling from some online users. In response, Nora posted a follow-up video addressing the negativity she encountered after speaking out about the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
On Wednesday, Nora took to her Instagram stories to wish her fans a joyful Holi before directly confronting the trolls. She expressed, “It seems many have lost their ability to comprehend and listen effectively. These are skills we learned in school—critical thinking, reading comprehension, and simply listening. It feels like some have bypassed these essential stages in life, especially with the rise of social media. We haven’t pushed our minds to truly understand things. However, I stand firm in my call for world peace and unity.”
Nora continued, “If you don’t see yourself as part of this conversation, remember that every country and person is part of this world. When I speak about wanting peace and denounce chaos, if that triggers you, then perhaps it’s time for some self-reflection. Morally, there’s an issue if you take offense. My message about the exhaustion we feel as a society in the face of constant chaos was meant for everyone. If it bothers you, it’s time to check in with yourself.”
Concluding her message, she remarked, “As I reflect today, I’ve said my prayers, and I’m about to break my fast. It’s disheartening to think that discussing world peace can provoke such anger. That’s a troubling reality. I will always advocate for global harmony and unity, and nothing can deter me from that.”
Earlier, in her initial video, Nora reassured her fans that she is safe and in India, not Dubai. She began by saying, “I usually refrain from commenting on such matters, but many have reached out to check on me. I’m currently in India, not Dubai. The visuals from the region have deeply affected me. All we desire is peace.”
She added, “People around the globe yearn for civility, yet we are engulfed in uncertainty and fear. Witnessing such distressing visuals is heartbreaking. We can’t afford the loss of innocent lives anymore; we’ve seen enough chaos—wars and genocides recurring too often. My advice to everyone is to maintain faith in God and call for unity. We must stand together and combat this psychological and spiritual warfare, remaining grounded and spiritually prepared.”
