On Saturday, actress Sara Arjun, known for her role in ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge,’ had a spiritual experience at the revered Bhasma Aarti in Ujjain’s Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple. Following her visit, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “I have no words. `Bulava aaya aa gaye hum`. There is no better feeling than this in this world. I am overjoyed,” as reported by ANI.
The Bhasma Aarti, a significant ritual at the Mahakal temple, takes place during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta, from 3:30 am to 5:30 am, attracting devotees eager to witness this divine ceremony.
According to tradition, participating in the Bhasma Aarti brings great blessings and is believed to fulfill the wishes of attendees. The ritual commences with the temple doors opening in the early morning, followed by a ceremonial bath for the deity using Panchamrit, a sacred blend of milk, curd, ghee, sugar, and honey.
Post-bath, the deity is adorned with hemp and sandalwood before the Bhasma Aarti and dhoop-deep Aarti are performed, accompanied by devotional chants, rhythmic drum beats, and the sound of conch shells, creating an atmosphere of deep spirituality. The Bhasma Aarti at Mahakal Temple holds immense significance, drawing devotees from across the globe.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Mahakaleshwar Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and ranks among the holiest sites in Hinduism.
On the work front, Sara Arjun is recognized for her roles in ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge,’ playing Yalina, the love interest of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazhari. Recently, there were rumors about her signing a new film with Imtiaz Ali, but casting director Mukesh Chhabra clarified that Sara has not yet committed to any new projects and will make decisions after the release of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge.’ He reassured fans, stating, “Sara Arjun has not signed any other film. We are just waiting for D 2. Just wait, all the other news is only rumors.”
