The dynamic between Bollywood stars and paparazzi has always been complex. While some celebrities enjoy posing for cameras, others seek to keep their lives private. Akshay Kumar recently shared his thoughts on the paparazzi scene in Bollywood, emphasizing that photographers depend on capturing celebrity moments for their livelihood, and thus, he sees no reason to object.

In a recent conversation with India Today, Akshay elaborated on why he has no qualms about the paparazzi snapping photos of him, whether he’s at work or spending time with family. He stated, “A photographer earns about Rs 3,500 to 4,000 for taking my picture. If they’re making that, why should I have any issue? What’s the problem with me standing in my sherwani and letting them take a photo?”

He continued, “If I can take a photo and help that hardworking individual support their family, then there’s nothing wrong with that. What does privacy even mean? If you’re out in public with your wife and kids, what privacy are you concerned about?”

During the interview, Akshay was asked whether he considers being photographed an occupational hazard. He replied, “It’s not a hazard… If no one takes my photo, that would be the real problem.”

In addition to discussing paparazzi, Akshay Kumar expressed his deep respect for stunt performers. When asked about providing insurance support for Bollywood stunt artists, he mentioned that his commitment stems from personal experiences and a sense of duty. “I know all the stuntmen by name, and I see myself as a stuntman first, then an actor,” he explained.

On the professional front, Akshay is set to collaborate again with Priyadarshan for the film Bhooth Bangla, which will feature actors like Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Tabu. Additionally, he has projects like Welcome To The Jungle and Golmaal 5 lined up, with shooting scheduled to begin soon.
