Aditya Dhar’s much-discussed film, Dhurandhar 2, has taken India by storm. Its buzz is so prevalent that even those who haven’t seen it are aware of its popularity. Released on March 19, the sequel is breaking box office records with historic success.
Now, the film has made an unexpected leap into the academic world. A viral image showcasing an Accounts exam paper featuring characters from the movie is making rounds on social media.
Starring an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Akshaye Khanna, Dhurandhar 2 has garnered acclaim for its captivating storyline, complex characters, and high-octane action scenes.
Reports indicate that the exam paper belongs to a Class 12 Accounts course, with one question stating: “Jameel Jamali, SP Chaudhary, Aslan, and Yalina Jamali share profits and losses equally. What happens to the profit-sharing ratio when SP Chaudhary retires?” Another section amusingly referenced the character Rehman and included a key date from the film’s plot, adding to the entertainment value for fans.
This creative crossover delighted audiences, leading the image to go viral online.
As for its box office performance, within just a week, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge surpassed the impressive Rs 1,000 crore mark globally, solidifying its status as a cinematic blockbuster. It is now the second-fastest Indian film to achieve this feat, following Pushpa 2.
After eight days in theaters, the film continues to thrive, outpacing the lifetime earnings of major hits like Pathaan and Kalki 2898 AD. Despite the usual weekday decline, it has amassed a domestic total of Rs 674.14 crore net (Rs 805.32 crore gross) and is expected to soon cross the Rs 700 crore threshold.
Internationally, the film has grossed Rs 261.92 crore in just eight days, bringing its total worldwide earnings to Rs 1,067.24 crore. With this achievement, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has overtaken Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, which had a lifetime collection of Rs 1,042 crore, as well as Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which earned Rs 1,050 crore. It’s now on course to surpass the lifetime earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, currently at Rs 1,100 crore.
