Aditya Dhar’s film, Dhurandhar, is making waves at the box office. Following its initial release in December last year, the sequel hit theaters on March 19, 2026, and is still going strong. Amidst this success, Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared her insights on the film.

In a recent discussion with the Financial Times, Kareena emphasized that Dhurandhar is not solely Ranveer Singh’s film. In this installment, Ranveer plays the role of Hamza Ali Mazhari/Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an Indian spy tasked with counter-terrorism missions in Pakistan.

Kareena credited the film’s achievements to its director, stating, “Dhurandhar is not a Ranveer Singh film in any way. It is very much a director’s vision. Even now, when people talk about the film, they refer to it as Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar.”

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which premiered on March 19, received an A rating from the CBFC. Although some profane language was muted, viewers still noted that many expletives were still audible.

Recently, the filmmakers released a new print in theaters with additional censorship. According to Bollywood Hungama, the updated version has further muted certain offensive words. A source revealed, “In the previous version, some swearing was muted, but many were left intact. The new print has silenced even more curse words. For instance, the dialogue spoken by Sanjay Dutt in the Operation Lyari sequence has been altered, although the actor’s gesture remains.” The source also mentioned, “The curse ‘B******a,’ uttered by Rakesh Bedi during a pedicure and by a character in the Aari Aari song sequence, has also been silenced. Several other profanities were similarly muted, while words like ‘B****a’ and ‘G***u’ were kept as is.”

This marks the third version of Dhurandhar 2, following a previous print that corrected an error where a cameraman’s reflection appeared in a mirror during one scene.
