Tips Films has officially announced a new release date for their much-anticipated romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The film will now hit theaters worldwide on June 12, 2026, postponing its initial release date of June 5 by one week.

Directed by the renowned David Dhawan, this film is set to be a lively tribute to youth, romance, and joy. Featuring a stellar cast that includes Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is one of the year’s most awaited films, promising the energetic narrative style that fans of Tips Films and Dhawan have come to love.

In a statement, Ramesh Taurani, Managing Director of Tips Films, explained, “We wish to clarify that our film was initially slated for release on June 5, a date we announced some time back. However, due to recent events and the current situation, we believe it’s more prudent to adjust our release.”

He continued, “We firmly believe that collaboration among filmmakers is healthier for the industry than competing on the same date. Thus, in the spirit of unity, we have opted to shift the release of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai to June 12, allowing us to present our film to audiences a week later.”

Promotional activities, such as the release of the film’s soundtrack and trailer, will proceed as scheduled, building excitement for the new mid-June premiere.

In related news, the makers of Yash’s upcoming film, Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups, have also announced a change in their release date. Originally set for March 19, the film’s release has been postponed due to the ongoing crisis in West Asia.

KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations issued a statement saying, “Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups is crafted with the vision of reaching a global audience. Filmed in both Kannada and English, our goal is to resonate with viewers at home and internationally. After years of hard work, we were eager to share our film on March 19; however, the current instability, particularly in the Middle East, affects our ability to connect with the widest audience possible.”

The statement concluded, “In consideration of our partners and audience, we have made the difficult yet thoughtful decision to reschedule our release. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we move forward.”
