Among those celebrating its triumph is director Vivek Agnihotri, who not only commended the film but also shared some unsolicited yet valuable advice for Dhar.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Vivek Agnihotri expressed his admiration for Dhurandhar: The Revenge and its creative team. He mentioned making a special journey from the serene countryside of California to Los Angeles just to experience the film, emphasizing its significance to him. He labeled the film as “brilliant once again,” opting not to delve into an extensive analysis on social media, stating that he preferred to speak directly to Dhar instead.
“I was in the countryside of California and finally ventured to LA just to see Dhurandhar. Shabash. Bravo. Brilliant once again, @AdityaDharFilms. Honestly, I’m at a loss for words… anything I might add could just add noise to something that already speaks volumes. I’d rather have a conversation with you,” he shared.
Vivek didn’t stop at general praise; he highlighted two often-overlooked elements of filmmaking that truly elevated the film. He pointed out the exceptional contributions of Vikash Nowlakha’s outstanding cinematography and Saini Johray’s remarkable production design.
“In cinema, the camera and production design are intertwined. Without their harmonious relationship, a film cannot achieve masterpiece status. In Dhurandhar, we witness pure synergy. Vikash and Saini Johray have set a new benchmark with their groundbreaking work. My heartfelt best wishes to both of you, and a special salute,” he added.
However, it was his closing thoughts that particularly resonated with many. Drawing from personal experience, he advised Aditya Dhar: “You are sharp and know your path. Just remain aware of the ecosystem; it can be as treacherous as it is alluring.”
